The compression ring creates an airtight seal between the cylinder and piston and helps facilitate heat transfer between the piston and cylinder wall. The compression ring on a piston head is a wear and tear item. It is, often, a cause of an air compressor failing to produce air. This part is sold individually. Unplug the air compressor and bleed air from the tank before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Does this kit come with the compression ring, the picture shows it but there's no mention of it in the description just the other four parts.

Hello Saul, thank you for your question. No, there is not a compression ring. This kit includes two o-rings, piston ring clamp screw and the cylinder tube. The compression ring is CAC-248-2. We are pleased to have been able to help.
