Machine would lose power and shut itself off.
Unplugged machine. Used tape markers to identify knobs then removed control knobs with vigorous straight pull. Unscrewed three screws on rear of control panel face and tilted control panel over with a small sideways slide, to expose circuit board. Laid new circuit board alongside old and transferred jumper block and wiring terminals from old board to same positions on new. Unscrewed old board and removed. Put in new board and tightened screws. Replaced back panel and knobs. Plugged in machine and tested. Done!

Washer took an electrical surge and burned out the control board.
I removed the top cover , then unplugged all the wire connectors. I then replaced the control board and reassembled the wiring and cover.

Washer would start, then stop numerous times before finally running it's entire cycle. Often it stopped half way through the full cycle and when it finally restarted, it would start from the beginning
This is so simple it's ridiculous. First, pull the "control knobs" off the front of the washer. Next, take the three screws (nut driver type) off the back panel then slide the loose front panel towards you and it's off. Take the part(s) you're replacing off-there are two sections joined by a flat electrical "cord" with a total of 5 nut driver screws (but a smaller size than the ones on the back panel). Tip the Control Board up from the bottom to pull it out of the unit. Unplug the 3 electrical contacts that go to the Electronic Control Board and throw away the old control board. Reverse steps to put it all back together. I did this all in less than 10 minutes. I'm pretty handy around the house, but if you know which end of a nut driver to grip, you can do it just as fast.

Washer would not run. Lights on but would not run at all.
Figured out it was the control board since lights were on when I plugged the washer in but the washer never started. Pushing the ON button would flash the fill light but nothing happened. The part came in less than a week. I did notice the part came with the control panel for the water fill, water temp and options as they are wired together. The part also had the plastic holder which has the ON button pusher which I was happy about since mine had broken several months back. One note, the part did not have the jumper connector (the one that does not have wires going anywhere except itself. This was not a problem since I just used the one from the old part. Repair took about 10 minutes (I had already figured out how to remove the part to make sure I could before ordering the part). Was not hard. Put in the part and noticed the washer filled with water but stopped and never started the wash cycle. I knew something was wrong because, when the lid is closed it should spin the drum during fill up. It was not. I reconnected all the wires on the control board and it now works fine.
