Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This gas conversion kit is used to convert natural gas burners to liquid propane in dryers. If your dryer will not start, heat, or there is an unusual smell, replacing this part can be a solution to the problem. The tools needed for this repair project are: a putty knife, 5/16 inch nut driver, small flathead screwdriver, pliers, and a 3/8 inch wrench. As a safety precaution remember to unplug your dryer from the power source before beginning this installation project. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further installation instructions and a detailed diagram.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Correct part, but unclear
The part took over a week to arrive instead of the 2 days promised, but that seems to be the fault of FedEx. There was no explanation for why there were two slightly different orifices or which one I was to use, so I guessed???? Otherwise, the parts were good, and the clothes dryer is working with them.

Kinda a waste of money to make you buy all of these parts just for 1 of them.

LP conversion kit
The design of the dryer did not make the conversion easy, I had to disassemble the entire front end, top and remove the drum. The kit included a new spud that's it (22.00?). Anyway the gas valve is convertible from NAT to LP only requires turning a portion of the valve about 25 degrees. I managed with a screwdriver as I could not locate m

Lowes gave me the wrong kit
Lowes gave a conversion kit for 29" wide dryer, not by model number. Could not find the right kit. Called PartSelect , in 2 minutes they had the right kit, by model number. Sent overnight mail, followed direction and boda bing it was done.

Convert New Dryer to Propane from Natural Gas
1.Unplugged the connections to dryer door 2. Removed dryer door, front cabinet, popped off the drum belt (this is done by feel),unplugged the drum from cabinet, removed drum, all to get to the gas element inside at the bottom of dryer. 3. Unplugged the connection to the element, then removed unit to get to the burner parts.

Re assembled dryer and tested. *Note: Actually my son did the work while I read the very easy to follow directions. Since neither of us has disassembled a dryer before, the thought of taking a brand new dryer all apart was more daunting than the actual task.

converting to LP gas
First I removed the front panel which allowed access to the burner assembly. Then I removed the gas connector and elbow from the back of the dryer. Then I removed 2 screws that hold burner assembly in place and 2 screws that hold an angle brace for the burner assembly. Had to loosen the screw that clamps around the gas pipe holding it in
