I have an issue where the washplate on Spin cycle will spin but the tub/basket does not. When the washer is off, I can turn the washplate by hand and the tub does not turn. But when turning the tub by hand, both the washplate and tub turn. When looking under the unit, the washplate turns with the motor and drive belt but when turning the tub, the motor and drive belt do not turn. Would this be a problem with the actuator not engaging the tub?
For model number YWET4024HW0
Hi Chad, Thank you for reaching out. If your Whirlpool washer's tub isn't spinning while the washplate spins, the most likely culprit is a worn or damaged drive belt. We suggest checking the belt for wear. We hope this helps!
