Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This fresh food fan motor assembly is designed to circulate air throughout the refrigerator compartment, helping to maintain consistent cooling and preserve food freshness. It plays a vital role in ensuring even temperature distribution, especially in larger or multi-zone units. The assembly may include multiple components, so it's recommended to consult your parts diagram for a complete list. Before installation, unplug the refrigerator and safely store any perishable items to prevent spoilage. Wearing protective work gloves is also advised to avoid injury while handling internal parts.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Warm fresh food compartment fix
Fresh food compartment was running at about 55°. Freezer was fine. I found a service bulletin on a forum that indicated the fresh food fan needed replaced. Even though the fan was working. I ordered a new fan installed it and now I have a fresh food compartment at 35° consistently. If your having a similar issue search for service bulletins on your model and make.

GE replacement refrigerator fan, perfect fit, quieter than the original.
GE Profile refrigerator fresh food fan began making noise indicative of bearing going out. Luckily unit continued to cool and the fan keep running although noise increased by the day. Fan arrived on time and thanks to a You Tube video, which demonstrated how to change the fan, the repair took just 25 minutes. New fan actually runs quieter than original which failed after only three years. PartSelect noted replacement fan was updated unit and provided online updates regarding date shipped, tracking info and accurate anticipated delivery.

Refrigerator compartment would not cool (58 deg F), freezer maintained 0 deg F
It dawned upon us, after stumbling across chunky milk and crisper starting to freeze items, perhaps the fridge was not working properly. Checking temps the compartment would run 57 to 59 deg F, yet the freezer was perfectly fine 0 deg F. Rather than trouble shoot what component was the driving issue, I decided to replace all the main co
... Read moremponents: motherboard, compartment fan, blend door assy. Motherboard was quite simple: two screws for a cover on the back, unplug all the harness connectors, plug back in. Compartment fan simply slid out and new one back in with a little trickery for the wiring (I just cut the old fan harness rather than fight the wire routing plastic piece). The blend door assy was the most complicated but just a series of 1/4" nut screws and disassembly. Fridge now maintains 35 deg compartment temp. I'm not certain which component was the culprit (leaning towards motherboard, as I look back some the interior lighting may not have been working properly, which also suggest MB), however I'm glad $450 in parts brought fridge back to life any not $3k for a new one.

Hello Annette, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found that the issue is probably with the temperature sensor, part number PS304103. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!
My fridge is warm and my only ice maker (top) isn’t making ice. The evaporator fan come on steady, then pauses and restarts about five times and the runs at a decreasing speed until it stops. I’m wondering if it’s the fan or is there a sensor that is causing this. Thank you.
