I have a grinding sound at the end of a cycle and the close a still wet. Could the gear case be the problem?
For model number MVWP575GW0
Hi Edward, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the splutch kit, part number PS10057144. The splutch assembly consists of plastic gears that engage during the spin cycle. When these gears wear down or crack, they slip against each other, producing a harsh grinding sound and failing to rotate the drum. Replacing it might fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
