Would the failure of this part make my fridge not cool down to 37?

Hi Victor, thank you for the question. Yes, a faulty refrigerant solenoid valve, part number PS16217893, can absolutely cause a cooling system to fail to cool. The solenoid valve controls the flow of refrigerant, and if it's not working correctly, it can prevent the refrigerant from reaching the evaporator where cooling takes place. compressor came on and the discharge line getting warm and then it went back off

Fridge runs at 40 deg. Freezer 33 deg. Compressor runs, condenser fan runs (non-stop), no leaks that I can tell, both evap fans run when in diagnostic mode. What can this be? Help please!
