The temperature sensor detects the temperature within the oven cavity. If there is a limited amount of heat, it is not heating evenly, or the oven will not start, this might indicate that your temperature sensor requires a replacement. If you are working with your oven this part is found on the right side when facing the back of the oven. This part is can be found in a range, wall oven, and microwave-oven. You will need to remove the panel located on the back of the oven, unplug the sensor, remove the screw, and pull the sensor out. The new one slides into place.

Easy part but not the fix
Part came quickly but the ends didn't match. I had to cut the old connection piece off and attach to The new piece. This did not fix the oven.

No heat when turning oven on.
Started by replacing element which was clearly broken. Still no heat. So then I changed the oven sensor. Was disappointed that when I received the sensor I had to cut and splice the connector that was on it with the old one that came off the old sensor. Did that and still no heat so I had to buy a new clock/timer. Went to another store fo

Oven would kick off after preheating to temp.
Sensor very accessible. Pull off the back panel, disconect the sensor and slide out from back of oven. The original plug was cut off the sensor, as well as the new one to get the proper connector type on the new sensor. Soldered and heat shrink, and presto we had our new sensor ready for install. Install was about 5 minutes which included

heating element was cracked, oven would not heat.
I used a small wrench, It was very easy to remove. once I removed the screws and disconnected the plugs from heating element then had to remove the back cover of stove so i could plug in new element. but was very easy. I am a single woman and was worried that it would be difficult to change. it only took me 20 minutes.

Getting no power to baking element. Hoping this will correct the problem
For model number FEFL64FSC
Hi Ken, Thank you for the question. The sensor helps maintain the oven temperature and does not provide the element with power. If there is no power getting to the element and all the wiring is intact, you will need to replace the Electronic Clock/Timer Part Number, PS2581862. This board controls the oven and sends power to the elements. Hope this helps!
Oven seemed to overheat, temp was set to 420°, but the boiler element glowed red, unit began to beep, and i received a code f10
For model number 790.994222409
Hello Chuck.
Thank you for your question. An F10 error code indicates runaway oven temperature. You will want to check your oven's temperature sensor, which is under part number PS1528543. We hope this helps you.

Broiler came on while baking a cake....i turned off the oven, and turned it back in 5-10 minutes later, and broiler came on again. i didn’t notice a code being thrown.
For model number LGEF3033KQB
Hello Robin, Thank you for your inquiry. While baking, both elements will cycle on and off to provide even heat, but not at the same time. Usually the bake element will come on first, then go off, then the broil element will come on for a few seconds, then go off. If both elements are coming on at the same time, we would recommend checking the broil element, the wires going to the element, the temperature sensor, the convection motor and fan and the oven control board. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

Bottom element comes on, goes past the set temp, and does not turn off until i manually turn it off. No codes found, any ideas?
For model number FEF364FSB
Hello, thank you for your inquiry! Most often when a burner gets too hot in your own, it is a result of a faulty element or oven sensor. We would recommend checking both parts for any defects, tears, breaks, etc. that may cause it to not respond properly. We hope this helps!

Oven will not heat on bake, but broil element will work as well all top burners. Tested thermostat in oven and got 1070 resistance. Tested element and have continuity. All wiring looks good and no burn outs. Turned the oven on and tested to make sure the wire plugs the element were plugging into was sending correct amount of volts and was get 122 volts per side. If i have the oven set for bake and am getting required volts is perhaps the element bad even though it gives continuity. What else would prevent it from not heating up when the element is getting the correct volts when set to bake?
For model number FEFLMC55GCA
Hello Brandon, thank you for inquiring. It could be the Oven Temperature Sensor part PS1528543, the Oven Probe part PS11731755, or the Main Terminal Block part PS471605. We hope this helps.

Hello Bernie, thank you for writing. This could be due to either a faulty Temperature Sensor or Oven Control Thermostat, but we will need the model number for your oven to locate the correct replacements for it. 970-678534 is not recognized as a model number. Here is a link to some tips on our website for locating the model number for your range. https://www.partselect.ca/Find-Your-Range-Model-Number.aspx. We look forward to hearing back from you!

My oven temperature is lower than what a recipe calls for. What part do I need to fix this problem?
For model number 96020401
Hi Julia, assuming your oven is faulty and is normally able to reach this temperature. The likely culprit is a bad bake or broil element. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
When using the bake function, the oven top element stays on well beyond the selected temp. The oven temp sensor is pn 318087500 and discontinued is there a replacement or Generic temp sensor that can be used simple to splice into the wiring harness. Thx

Hello Randall and thanks for writing.

When oven temperature goes over 300 it starts to beep.
For model number 970-600761
Hi Delmer,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My Frigidaire gas range seems to heat consistently less than what I set it up for. For example if I set it up for 400 degrees it would heat up around 365-375 degrees. I have replaced the igniter, but it still does not reach the set temperature. Cake and bread are always mushy inside. Should I replace the heat sensor? Trying to set up 25-30 degrees above every time does not work either. Thank you!
Hello Aysehan,
Thanks for your question. This typically arises due to a faulty temperature sensor or a temperature control thermostat. You may wish to test these parts with a multimeter for electrical continuity and replace them if they show no continuity.
I hope this helps.
