This is the ice actuator or ice actuator arm for your refrigerator. When you depress the actuator arm with a glass or bucket, ice is normally dispensed. If your current actuator arm is broken, missing, or if the ice dispenser isn’t dispensing ice, you may need to replace it. To access the actuator, you will first need to remove the dispenser assembly, and then remove the actuator from the assembly. Be sure to shut off the water and power source from your refrigerator before you begin this repair.

The Ice actuator broke where the glass hits the tab to dispense ice.

Ice Actuator paddle broke off
Biggest problem on my side is that Frigidaire used cheap screws to hold the plastic face plate on to the freezer door. As kids had overflowed water many times over the years the screws were rusted and so they stripped out when I tried to remove them, so had to drill them out in order to get at the actuator assembly to make the repair. Read moret is a fairly tight fit to get the actuator in place and an extra set of hands would be helpful to hold everything while trying to screw back in the metal plates which hold the actuator in place, making sure that the flap which covers the hole for ice when it is not being used remains engaged with the gears which close it back after use.

Ice Actuator broke, also had to replace thin power cable
I read the instructions that came with the ice actuator. I installed it, with no problem, but it didn't work because the ribbon power cable was damaged. I ordered the cable and installed in less than 15 minutes. The ice actuator and water dispenser worked fine.

Part of the ice actuator that activates the switch broke off thus not allowing the ice augar to work. By pushing to hard on the actuator trying to get ice we broke a corner off the dispenser module and had to replace it.
Turn off power to refrigerator. Remove dispenser tray and three screws. Lift up on cover and pull away from fridg. Next remove control circuit board, use magnetic screw driver on very small screws. Important to mark all wires and their location before removing. Remove water tube from water actuator by lifting tube out of actuator,you don'
... Read moret have to turn water off. Next remove dispenser module and set next to new dispenser module. Then carefully remove and install parts on new dispenser module. Take your time and besure all parts installed as they were on the old module.

Ice acuator difficult to press, lever finally broke off
Hardest part is removing the drip tray. it just pops out with a little prying. I used a putty knife. screw driver should work. I found it easier to do a total dissasemble. Remove 3 screws at the bottom of the cover and push up on it. Pull plug of wiring harness of the PC board, I recomend removing the power from the refrige

Read morerator however I done a hot repaire by removing the black and white power wires (Left side)of the board, with a small insulated needle nose remove the other 6 wires make a wiring diagram in order to completely remove PC board (5 small screws) Next remove 3 more larger screws and wiggle the entire assemble from the door. Two small screws hold small S.S. plates that hold the acuator in place. Watch and get the levers back in the proper place and put it back together.

Frigidaire icemaker won't dispense ice unless i manually lift and lower wire arm and than hear gears start and one cycle. What part do i need please

The ice dispenser dispenses intermittently. I push the paddle and sometimes it doesn't dispense. I will try to push the paddle another time or two and then it will dispense after a couple tries. I hear a click when I push the paddle like the switch is activated.

Is there a difference when ordering an ice actuator or a water actuator? I need the ice one but may have ordered the water one.
Hi Lou, Thank you for the question. The Ice Actuator controls the dispensing of the ice and the Water Actuator controls the dispensing of the water. Hope this helps!

I can't get ice or water to dispense. Have replaced ice maker and ice assembly bucket already. What could my solution?

Hello Kenneth, Thank you for the question. If the Ice Maker and Ice Bucket are making ice and working properly, but when you press the Ice Dispense button and nothing happens (no noise such as a motor) you could have a defective 4 Button Switch or a Micro Switch. We hope this helps!
My ice maker does, make the ice but it does not eject from the front door. The water does come out, but not the ice. Which part should i purchase?

We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: ice bucket and auger assembly, crushed/cubed ice solenoid assembly, auger motor, ice actuator arm, ice blades, and dispenser switch. You can test the solenoid assembly, auger motor, and dispenser switch with a multimeter to see if they have continuity. Hope this helps!
