I have a 2 year old freezer when it was new it would shut off after freezing, now it runs all the time or seems like it. i have changed , Defrost Thermostat. EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR & wire harness, it is freezing and working it just never shuts off...?
For model number FFFU20F2VW0
Hi John, thank you for reaching out. Normal operating room temperatures for a freezer are between 60° and 95° Fahrenheit. The hotter and more humid the air is, the less efficient the freezer will be, causing it to run more. If possible, keep the freezer within the recommended operating temperatures and as cool as possible. Check to see that the doors are closing properly. If a door bin or food item is keeping the door open slightly, the freezer may not cool properly, which can cause the freezer to run all the time. If the condenser coils are dirty, they will not be able to dissipate heat effectively, greatly reducing the cooling capacity of the freezer. If the condenser coils are dirty or have not been cleaned in a while, clean them. Make sure the condenser fan is running fine. If this does not help, it could be your defective control board part number PS16555732. Good luck with this repair!

How do I know if it’s the actual compressor or inverter that needs to be replaced when the unit turns on it gets cold For a short period of time the compressor sounds like it’s on. Seems like it’s able in the beginning to produce cold refrigerant. So my question is, how do I know if it’s the actual inverter?
For model number FFFH20F3WW0
Hello Mike, thank you for asking. If the Inverter is bad, the first and most common symptom is that the light of the inverter is blinking or it is not turning on at all. This means the inverter isn't supplying the power to the compressor. Sometimes the compressor is off, but both fans are running. No cooling is produced in this case. On the other hand, if the compressor is running all the time, It Doesn’t Stay Cold, or if there is a give off a smell like burning oil, indicates a compressor problem. We hope this helps.

My freezer is 3 years old and have had the freezer freeze over several times a year where the fan is frozen. I have tryed to adjust the temperature but had no success. Was thinking it could be the defrost thermostat
For model number FFFU20F2VW0
Hi Jeremiah, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, the issue could be with the defrost thermostat, part number PS12746820. It protects the evaporator from overheating during the defrost cycle. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
