I have a freezer that will work fine for around a month and then it will warm up and not freeze. During these issues the evaporator and fan get all iced up. What could the issue be? Could it be the defrost sensor? Once I let the ice thaw and plug it back in it seems to work fine for another month or so and then have the same issue. Thanks for your time!

Is there a reset switch on this freezer? The door was left open and the freezer started defrosting. It doesn't seem to get below 6°C since.

Hi Sonia, thank you for the question. Based on our research, your model does not come with a reset switch. If the freezer door was left open for several hours or longer, It will take it many hours to cool back down. It is important to keep the freezer controls just where they were before. Avoid opening the door constantly while the freezer is working and make sure the door is sealed properly, as it might prevent the freezer from cooling. If the issue still persists, we would recommend checking the evaporator fan motor, part number PS12746805. If this part is faulty, you may need to replace it. We hope that helps!

Do you sell the thermostat (potentiometer for this upright freezer as I can find it anywhere? This freezer has been an absolute nightmare since I bought it with freezing up and now it won’t run at all normally but it does cycle through all the test functions using a magnet on the reed switch so I believe it’s the thermostat.
