Start by removing the plastic wrap on the new filter, remove the cover from the housing inside the refrigerator, remove the old filter, place the new filter into the housing, and close the cover. Which way do you insert this air filter, or does it matter which side of the filter is facing toward the front of refrigerator.

Why does the replacement air filter #PAULTRA2 look different than the air filter that came with the refrigerator?

Hello Shelley, thank you for writing. There are more than one Air filters that are called PAULTRA 2. It replaces PURE AIR ULTRA 2, PAULTRA 2, 242047805 and 4582822. We hope this helps.
