Hello, i have a fridge that wont stop running when it gets to temp. I have an external thermometer showing the freezer at negative 16 and the fridge in the low 30's. The temp setting is at the recommended 0 and 37 at the interface in the front and i have tested the thermistors in the walls. An ideas what the problem might be?

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest checking your defrost thermostat. You may also want to take a look at your run capacitor and your start relay on your compressor. You should be able to test all three parts with a multi meter. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hello Maylen, thank you for writing. The two most common reasons are the Bi metal Defrost Thermostat PartSelect Number PS11750673. Or, the Capacitor PartSelect Number PS11757023. Good luck with your repair.
Afternoon -- About a week ago my fridge and freezer turned up warm. Things I've checked - Start device - normal results on ohm test 5.1 at 71 degrees. When I unplug it for a while and then plug it back in -- all works normal - freezer to -1 and fridge area cools to 36. Once it reaches these levels (after about 5 hours after starting at room temp) and condenser fan, compressor and evaporator fan all running. Once normal temps are reached everything turns off normally. In a while I will hear the Evaporator fan start to run but the compressor or condenser fan will not start running again till the unit is unplugged again. Any ideas or do I junk a 12 year old system that otherwise had been working fine. Thanks Dave

Hello David, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a faulty run capacitor, part number PS11757023. It supplies power to the compressor to start it when the temperature gets high and the refrigerator demands cooling. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
My icemaker has not worked for a couple of years. There is no water entering the ice maker. After watching a couple of youtube videos, I changed the solenoid that opens to allow water to flow. That did not fix the problem. I then replaced the entire ice make assembly. It still didn't work. I have cleaned the sensors that turn of the ice maker when the bin is full of ice. Still nothing. I finally called an appliance repair person who came to look at it. He said that everything looks fine, so it must be the control panel. He said that he would come replace it, or I could replace it. Well, these control panels aren't cheap! I don't want him to put one in on a guess. I'm wondering if you have any other suggestions, also, if it is the control panel, can you tell me how to access the control panel on this model? I have actually tried to get to it, so I could know if I can even get to it without breaking parts. Thank you for your offer to help!

Hello Rex, Thank you for the question. if the Valve and Ice maker were replaced and the Water Lines where checked, the Control Board, PartSelect Number PS11756799 would be the last part to replace. There should be two screws on the underside of the controls that will need to be removed and then you can pop the front cover off to access and replace the Board. We hope this helps!
My fridge and freezer shut down. The control panel is blank other than red letters saying "cooling off". If I touch the control panel the red letters start flashing. Other than that I can touch the lower right side of the control panel and sometimes a blue number 3 will flash three times. How do I diagnose this problem?

Hello Joe, Thank you for the question. To reset the cooling feature in the refrigerator and freezer, press and hold "Lock" and "Filter" simultaneously for three seconds. "Cooling Off" will appear on the control display. Press and hold the same buttons for three seconds to turn the cooling feature back on. Hope this helps!
