Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This lint chute assembly is a genuine replacement component designed for GE and Hotpoint dryers. It plays a critical role in directing exhaust airflow from the dryer drum to the blower wheel, ensuring efficient drying performance. The assembly houses the lint filter and helps maintain proper airflow, which is essential for preventing overheating and reducing drying times. A damaged or clogged lint chute can restrict airflow, leading to performance issues and potential safety hazards such as lint buildup. As an OEM part, it offers a precise fit and reliable operation within compatible dryer models. Sold individually.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

The dryer lint chute was cracked and catching our clothes.
We watched the YouTube video and had it installed in no time. Saved money doing it ourselves.

Drum bearing and Lint Chute plastic was cracked.
The video of the dryer lint chute assembly showed the man without gloves. I didn’t wear gloves. When I disconnected the wire from the front panel assembly, my hand jerked and hit the side of the panel. It must have been razor blade sharp, because I got a deep cut. Advise people to wear gloves to protect hands from sharp metal.
Snap out the broken part. Snap in the new part. Use caution with the wires, but don’t have to disconnect them.

I am a 55 year old woman who likes to repair household items. I followed You Tube instructions and did it all by myself. A few screws to get the top off and a two more to remove the front piece. Trap duct assembly was cracked and falling apart. Pulling off the old was fairly easy. I watched the You Tube instructions on my Ipad so I co

if your unit has over 6,000 hours of operations, one needs to remove the front panel and inspect the sliders that the drum rides on. The video were very helpful to replace the sliders.
