removed the drive shaft (6 sided) with seals and replaced it. They last for about 5 years and have to be rotated (flipped over) to continue to use. To replace pieces no 30 do i need a professional to do that or give me ideas how to do it please step by step thanks
For model number Ksrv22fvss03
Hello Jules, thank you for your question. To replace this part, first unplug the fridge. Open the freezer door, and take the ice bucket off and set it aside. Next, take the hold out and use a 1/4 inch socket and ratchet to take out the screws. Once you have both screws out you can lift the holder out and you should be able to view the sleeve. Use piers to lift the shaft up and out of the unit. If it doesn't come up easily, you may have to jiggle it back and forth to break it free. Once the shaft is up, remove the seal and set it aside. You can remove the drive shaft completely. Once the drive shaft all the way out the sleeve would be removed. If is is stuck on with rust you may need to use some penetrating oil on it and work or tap it off. Once the old sleeve is off you can replace it with the new one and reassembly by following the previous steps! I hope this helps!

Nothing tell me it’s the shaft or the motor how i can check that and how i check if the motor is good???
For model number KSRV22FVSS03
Hello Jules, Thank you for the question. If the shaft needs to be replaced you should be able to see wear or damage. The motor might make a grinding noise or not run when defective. You can also test with a multi meter to see if there is continuity. If you can submit a question with the symptoms your appliance is having we can look into the is for you and help you trouble shoot. Looking forward to hearing from you!
