Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This upper front drum support bearing and slide kit is designed to restore smooth drum rotation and proper alignment within your dryer. Located near the front interior opening, it supports the drum as it glides during each drying cycle, helping maintain efficient operation and even drying performance. The kit includes components that reduce friction and wear, ensuring quiet and stable movement. Common symptoms of wear include grinding or squeaking noises, uneven drum rotation, and reduced drying efficiency. Replacing worn slides with this kit helps extend the life of the appliance and improve overall functionality.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

Damaged part replacement
The original part was damaged by a wayward screw that was in my pocket. This part was an exact fit and the dryer sounds like new.

Dryer drum started making a grinding noise and started to smell like something was burning
Took the front panel off. 2 screws on top of the front panel when you open the door, 2 right next to the door opening. Next gently pry up the top panel in the front of the dryer to remove 2 black screws in the front corners. Bearing slide on left side weo3x37320 pokes into tumble path and catches clothes twisting it into a knot. replaced the slide two weeks ago and it did it again same side, pulled lose from the bearing top slide weo3x23956 on a GTD42EAJ2WW sn LL 764482C elec dryer
For model number GTD42EASJ2WW
Hi Barry, thank you for reaching out. The top bearing support, part number PS11736622, is likely failing due to internal plastic locking tabs that have snapped or worn down. Without these tabs to provide a secure mechanical grip, the slide cannot stay seated and shifts into the drum’s path under the weight of the laundry. You may need to replace it. We hope this solves your problem!
