KRSF505ESS01 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

Pried out old part with screwdriver. Unplugged. When new part came, just plugged it in and pushed the part into place.

We thought the trim piece would pop off the drawer, but instead the trim is glued to the drawer handle. After puzzling over what to do for a couple minutes, we grabbed some pliers and SLOWLY leveraged / peeled the old trim off and put the new trim on.

Go slow. Bend the old trim as you peel it off and use the pliers as a lever. Do a little at a time.

I took off the broken tube and attempted to order a new one with the confusing we sight at parts.com- after 3 attempts I finally got the right part with help from the operator at parts . Com( nice and helpful) but had to ship wrong parts ( the 2 wrong ones) back. The parts were of good quality and we're not hard to put on

Remove drawer and install new drawer.

Just plugged it in

Repair was tremendously easy. All I did was remove old light switch by prying out with screw driver and plugging in the new light switch and pushing it into the hole. Simple! The instructions weren't needed, but they were very thorough.

We looked up the problem online with the model number of the refrigerator. We ordered the part and followed the video installation that was sent with the order and was found online prior to purchasing

When the snack pan is packaged there are two plastic bags located on the side rails of the pan they are filled with a thermoset foam to trap the pan in the shipping container. If not enough foam is placed in the bags or the box is placed on the ground with the rear side down in a forceful way the pan can come loose from the foam packaging. The shipping container had no damage on the outside. There was no marking on the box this side up or fragil. One of the rear ears of the snack pan had broken off about 1" from the end.

Pried out the old switch and installed the new switch.

Had to push the light switch to get lamp to light up.
Removed power from refrig. and removed old light switch
and replaced with the one I got from Partselect. Turned power back on and was done.

Eased the putty knife under the edge of the switch housing and pried it off. Pulled two wires off the old terminals and hooked them onto the new one and reinstalled into the refrigerator body.

bulbs were not burnt out. received the new switch in a few days. watch the short video, was good to see how it comes out. used a putty knife to release the defective switch, removed wires put them on the new one and posed the new switch back in. Not bad Part cost $11.00 7 dollars shipping so for 17 bucks it works great. nice to see what is inside the refer!

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you
