KRFF302ESS02 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.

The part just snapped in. super easy.

Complete replacement of the plastic drawer.

Thanks for the video showing how to replace the Humidity Slide the knowledge that the end with the flair needed to be slightly bent to SNAP into place was a big help.

The icing n the freezer and wetness/ humidity in the fridge would not stop. I reasoned the freezer seal was bad and letting the outside humidity in. This fridge had been moved to the garage after a new one was put in my house. The new door seals completely fixed the problem, works perfectly now.

I ordered the wrong shelf. Width was correct but the Depth was not. Started the return process and I'm seeing its still processing. This is since 2/28/2024. 3 Weeks ago. On that same day I ordered what I hope is the correct one, but still haven't received it. Fingers crossed something happens soon.

When I received the gasket I laid it out on the floor in a spare room not too far from a heat register to let it straighten out. (If it were summer or sunny weather here I would have laid it out in the sun.) My adult son did the repair - it was very easy to pull out the old gasket and to gently clean the edges with a scraper to prepare for the new install. He followed instructions and other tips but the first section took a while before it would stay inserted. Once it did though, the rest of the gasket snapped in very quickly. I am happy the seal is much improved.

I watched a 5-minute YouTube video ordered the part. It was delivered fast and it took me about 30 minutes to put it on.

Followed some online videos. The replacement part actually matched exactly what the videos I found showed. It was my refrigerator that was slightly different where the unit would mount/screw into. The old unit had a bracket which easily attached to the replacement part. It is less than a 1 hour repair for sure. But it took me a few minutes to figure out the bracket adapter. Plus I forgot to seat the ice maker shut off bar and had to disassemble some things again to get in there to seat it properly. Part was shipped quickly and securely !

Remove existing bin by lifting up and out of refrigerator door. IInstall new bin by sliding into the door and pressing down onto the "clips" or attachments in the door. Done.

This is a simple repair, the gasket is pressed into a groove in the door and only needs to be eased out (pulled) by hand and the new gasket pressed back into place by hand. Starting the installation in one upper corner to make alignment easy. The side of the gasket with the table face center. For this model remember the doors are not symmetrical and the gaskets are a different size for each door. The gaskets come folded which puts a kink in the gasket. I set them out in the warm sun to straighten out before installing.

I followed the video provided by Part Select. I also let the refrigerator stay unplugged overnight with all the doors open. This p-trap kit has fixed the leaks out of the front of the refrigerator. There is no ice build-up in the freezer. Perfect!

unscrewed old filter, screwed in new....good to go!

Bought new crisper from Parts select followed directions on how to replace. Replaced in a bought 30 minutes.
