GLHT218WHB1 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Used pliers to remove filter.

I called in because the model # of the refrigerator did not show up on the website. The cust. srvc. rep looked it up and found the part. It was reasonably priced, I received it in a matter of days and it fit perfectly. Thank you! We were preparing to put the condo on the market and broke the shelf while cleaning. It was great to have a resource for a reasonably priced replacement and quick shipment.

actually viewed short U tube video which helped..The top 2 screws are routine but initially didn't understand how the handle "hooked" on the screw at the bottom.Customer service very helpful when I called and had to return the incorrect handle I had ordered. Part came right away.

I ordered the part, it arrived within 48 hours. I opened the fridge and put the shelf in perfectly!

I replaced the bulb using my hands to twist the bulb in the socket located at the top of the refrigerator.

Replaced the Triple Water Valve

Remove shelves and rear panels to get to motor. Motor is held in place on shroud by simple strap. Remove fan blade, then un hook strap, remove and save rubber spacers on old motor to reuse to remount new motor. New motor Mew motor has wiring harness that is universal. Cut out the three wires that go to the new motor leaving long as possible, cut wires from old motor as long as possible, strip ends of all wires 1/2 inch, connect wires by color,slip into provided wire connectors and crimp. Pull on wires to insure connection. Tie wires together so they don't touch the coils. Plug in and check operation. If all is working unplug and replace all covers and shelves. Plug back in and it will take few hours to reach operating temperature. Video of side by side repair shows easy removal of panels and motor.

removed ice maker,,and screws holding back of freezer cover,unplugged wires and removed the cover and fan.wow,only wire to element had come unplugged!went ahead and replaced thermostat,and defrost timer,both were easy to do

unplug refrigerator and insert the bulb in refrigerator first and then insert the second bulb in freezer side. After which, plug the refrigerator back in.

Pulled out the old one and popped in the new one

Turn off ice maker
Slide wire harness shield off connector
Disconnected harness
Loosened 2 wall screws
Remove old ice maker
Installed new one reversing process

Pulled the unit out from the wall and with a flat head screwdriver and a utility knife I replaced the valve assembly. It was no problem at all.

Got sent the wrong bulb 3 times had to pay for the three bulbs 75 dollars each Sent pictures of right bulb still wrong bulb no refunds for 30 days I even gave them right part number. Found out that the part number on box but wrong bulb inside told them and they seem not to care ordered from another company still out 225 dollars

First I removed the cover for the filter.(long nut driver) then the two screws holding the filter housing, held the retaining plungers in, and removed the filter housing. Then reversed the process and put it all back together. Simple.

Easy peasey just slipped it in
