cheaper and quicker than having repair service do it
part jumps into place with no issue and i save $70 doing the work myself instead of having a repair service come and take the part out residual to install the part after they order it from you probably.

Housing filter inlet outlet connections
Disclaimer should be in bold print on inlet and outlet dimension for quikconnects to work, first one I ordered was to small for quikconnect and returned..easy return process, after calling and finding the correct housing orifices- it was an easy install, remove 1 screw on the housing shroud then remove waterline then 2 screws holding the filter housing

Right part at a fair price
It all started with a great tutorial on YouTube showing how to replace the parts and a link to help me find the part. Received the part in a timely matter and it's working perfectly.

water leaking inside of refrigerator from filter area
I just removed the filter and then removed the filter housing. The housing is mounted using two screws. The only difficult part was removing the elbows from the water in and out lines. I don't believe the elbows are reusable. So I would go ahead and order new elbows when replacing this part.

Cracked and leaking water filter housing
I used an extended socket wrench to take the cover off and then pulled the hoses from the water filter housing, used the socket wrench to remove the cracked water filter housing and put on the new on. Put the two hoses back on and then put the cover back on and that was it. The part was $34 with shipping. Works great now and saved me a lot of money on a service call!!

Filter housing froze and cracked
Be sure to shut off the water supply to the refrigerator before starting this project in case some one tries to get water thru the water dispenser before you get this replaced or you will have a fridge with a lot of water in it!
Removed the screw that held the cover over the filter housing. removed the two screws holding the housing to the wall. The quick connect elbows were next removed. replaced the cracked housing with the new housing connecting the elbows first then remounted the housing to the wall. Then replaced the cover and was done in less than five minutes. Turned on water and checked for leaks

unit was in storage, froze and broke the housing
First I removed the cover for the filter.(long nut driver) then the two screws holding the filter housing, held the retaining plungers in, and removed the filter housing. Then reversed the process and put it all back together. Simple.

Water was leaking from under and in the fridge
First I took both bolts off of the housing (holds filter) and removed two hoses by holding elbow vavle in while pulling hoses. Did the reverse to replace. The trick was knowing how to remove the elbow valves. Second there was still water leaking under the fridge, discovered it was the water inlet valve underneath. Ordered that part.

Housing on filter cracked.
After I figured out what size nut driver to use, just unscrewed the old housing and screwed new housing back in . Put filter in housing, put top back on and cover back on. We now have water at the dispenser. All is well.

Refrigerator was in storage over the winter and the housing froze and broke.
I removed the screws holding the shield covering the filter housing and cup. Unscrewed the cup, removed the filter. Then removed the pressure fittings holding the water lines on the housing. Then I removed the housing. Reversed the process with the new housing.

Housing that the water filter was cracked. I think ,setting was too cold and froze and cracked it.
It takes a 1/4 " nutdriver to take one screw out that holds the cover over the water filter. You have to come up from the botton of cover. Then take two water lines off housing , by pushing the round collar back toward the fitting, and pull fitting off housing. Then take the two screw out that hold the housing on. Make sure you have the water turned off before you start.
