wrong temp when baking.
removed back. discovered wrong connector on probe. Cut the connectors off and spliced with small butt connector. Took me longer to find the tools and connector than to do the repair. The wires are very small and require a very small butt connector. Tips by the sales rep and previous customer were helpful. Great service. Will try PartSelect for Cub Cadet and Yamaha OB parts. Thanks. John

The oven did not heat.
Statistics said it was the element. I replaced that this did not correct problem. Went with the second statistic and it was correct. I showed the video to my tenant and he replaced it and called me in a few minutes saying it worked fine. Look at the video then it will be easy for you. The only thing in the video that was not clear is that you have to peel the sticker off of the front of the old clock and attach it to the new one. Everything else is exactly like it says.

Large element would only heat on high.
The infinite switch arrived promptly and while not a perfect match fit the range fine. It took me a few extra minutes to figure out the wiring configuration, but it was fairly easy. I was very pleased with Parts Select's service.

Hot Surface Light won't turn off.
Unplugged stove. Quickly unscrewed back panel (4 screws). Popped the wires off one at a time attaching them to the new switch. Pulled the knob off the front, unscrewed screws, and put new switch in repeating previous steps in reverse. Put the panel back on, plugged it up, and pushed it back into place. Done.

Control Panel Needed Replacing
An appliance repair man came to my house told me it would cost me $400 dollars to replace my broken control panel and he would have to come back since it needed to be ordered. At this point I had no idea what it was, were it was and how hard it was to fix. But after hearing the total $400 uttered from the obviously delusional repair man, I swiftly kicked him out of my house. Took me 15 minutes to do the research to find what I needed. I ordered the part. 3 days later it arrived. I went back online to watch a 3 minute instructional video. I changed it out in less than 5 minutes. Saved $300 bucks!

When turning the switch on for the large eye I could hear an electrical short behind the switch.
Initially we realized there was a problem while cooking with the large eyes and we began hearing an electrical short behind the control switch. I unplugged the power from the oven/cooktop and removed the back panel where I could visually see soot on the switches where it was shorted. Careful while choosing your part from the diagram on Partselect.com. For the model FEF336ECJ, atleast for my oven, the eye switches were reversed and I ordered the small eye's switches! Luckily they have an outstanding customer support and immediately mailed out the new parts and a label to send the wrong parts back. Changing the parts out was very simple. Pull the oven out and UNPLUG IT from any electrical outlet. Remove the back panel. Double check from the label on the front of the control panel that you are working with the correct switch, and before removing the current switch, remove the wires one by one and place them on the new part to make sure you don't misplace these wires. Once the wires are connected to the new part, pull the plastic knob off of the old switch to reveal the screws on front of the panel. Place the new switch where the old one came from and fasten the screws back in place. Replace the knob, replace the back panel(for safety) and test the new switch before you push the oven back into place. If you can turn a screw driver, move the oven, and unplug the power, this easy do it yourself repair will save you possibly hundreds by not calling a repair/handyman who would absolutely love you to pay out the nose for such an easy task.

Large burner switch made popping and buzzing noises.
The video was a great help. I could have replaced the switch without watching it, but it gave me confidence that I was doing it right. Everything went just like he said it would. Burner seems to work better now and no more scary noises.

wouldn't heat on bake or broil
After a power outage or bake and broil features stopped working, but the rest of the appliance worked fine. I wasn't sure if it was the clock part or the temp probe, but decided the cost replacing both parts was less than a repairman. So first, I watched the video link on the part's page...extremely helpful! Then it was a matter of a few screws and unplugging and re-plugging a few wires. I have NO electrical experience, and very little handy-man experience. This is a simple repair that anyone could do. I am most amazed with PartSelect because it literally took 24 hrs after placing the order for it to arrive on my doorstep. And it saved us an estimated $175 in repairman labor fees. I will be telling everyone about our great experience. Thank you!

After confirming that the renter had broken the timer through frustration I ordered the correct part and fixed the problem. After removing the rear panel it was obvious the timer was broken..just put wires where needed and reinstalled the new clock timer..The oven worked like new..
