Very simple. Two small hex shaped screws hold the unit to the back of the stove. Remove those with a small socket wrench. Rachet type makes the job easier. Gently pull the element from the back of the stove. Remove the two push-on wires from the element. They simple pull off. The elements have supporting feet toward the front. Those must be down to rest the element on the bottom of the stove. Replace the push-on wires, push the element back into the holes in the rear of the stove and screw the small hex shaped screws back into the oven wall. The job is done.

I really like my repairman, but prefer to do it myself. PartSelect rocks...reasonable prices, really fast shipping AND online repair videos keep me coming back. The repair was exactly as the video described, but one of the wires came loose as I was pulling the element through. I thought I'd have to tear the stove apart to get to it, but luckily, all of the wiring is contained in a raceway that runs along the back of the stove. After removing it to expose the wires, I would recommend doing so instead of trying to pull the wires through as the video shows. In doing so, the terminal connections are readily accessible and it's much easier to remove and install the bake element without having to worry about feeding the wires through at the same time and running the risk of damaging them. Overall, a very simple, quick repair that saved me a $50-75 service call.

I followed the directions in the video on the website. The repair was so easy!! I simply unscrewed the screws holding the element in place at the back of the oven, pulled the wires out. This did take a little bit of time, as I didn't want to pull the wire off of the element and lose it in the back of the oven, but I was able to eventually work it free from the insulation and make the connectors visible. I slid off the old element, slid the wires back on to the new one and pushed them back into the wall of the oven and replaced the screws. Works like a charm!! I will definitely use your website for other appliance repairs!!

Pulled oven from wall, Unplugged oven from outlet, Took 5/16 nut driver pulled back cover off oven to expose the quick connect wires, Pulled wires off old element, Opened oven door took the 2 screws off bracket on back of oven, Removed old element, Put new element in place, Put the 2 wires back on, Buttoned back up check to see if worked it did ((:

orderd a replacement part. recieved it two days later then that evening installed it. there was a video online to show how to replace it. very useful if your not a do it yourselfer.

I went on-line, found Partselect.com, they gave me the part number, showed me a video on the repair details, shipped the part overnight, and within ten minutes of the arrival of the part, I was up and running. EXCELLENT SERVICE! Thanks for saving Christmas at our house!!

You literally saved our Christmas from a disaster! Four days before Christmas our bake element gave out and we discovered it had split. We found you on the Internet, ordered the part, and prayed you would deliver as promised. We received it the next day, as promised, and in time to cook Christmas dinner. It was a snap to install, literally took five minutes. Your service, response time and instructions were perfect. Keep up the good work!

This is how I did it--but I would strongly recommend you do step 4 first, and skip step 3! Remember, because 240V circuits have 2 "hot" wires, they may be "hot" (120V to ground) even when switched off!

1. Removed the mounting screws with a nut driver.
2. Pulled out the old element. BARE lug connectors on loose wires came out with it.
3. Watched an impressive show of sparks.
4. TURNED OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER.
5. Separated the connectors. Had to use pliers on the one I "fried".
6. Connected new element (connectors pushed together easily.
7. Reattached with screws
8. Turned breaker back on.

Removed nuts holding element to rear of oven using nut driver, pulled wires out 3 inches and disconnected using needle nose pliers, installed new element. Job took 10 minutes - very easy job and works fine.

Inspected bake element. Found void. Ordered new bake element from Parts Select. Price was very reasonable. Part came the next day. Stove was fixed in 5 minutes. Great place to get appliance parts. Saved over $100 if repairman was involved.

Well...you'll notice in other tools I put Tweezers. Now you really don't need tweezers if you do it right in the first place. Here's what I did: 1) unscrewed the nuts that hold the element in on the back of the unit. 2) Then pulled the terminals out of the holes in the back of the oven. OOPS...there were sparks as the right terminal wire hit the metal frame of the back of the oven. Scared me. I jumped. the terminal wire burned/broke off and fell back into the hole. Yep...Too late I remembered that the VERY first step of this repair is 1)CUT OFF THE POWER TO THE OVEN. I repeat...THE FIRST STEP IS TO CUT OFF THE POWER TO THE OVEN. I couldn't reach the wire with the needle nose pliers so I had to go get the tweezers. Couldn't see the wire but I just put the tweezers in about two times and it finally caught on the wire and I was able to pull it out. Luckily the terminal end was still connected to the wire so I didn't have to replace it. From there it was 3)remove the old terminal posts from the wires (used the needle nose here to wiggle the ends off - been on a long time), 4)insert the new ones, 5) push the terminal posts back in the holes, 6) screw the nuts back on, 7) bake the cornbread. A very quick job -- plus the element from PartSelect was almost half the price of any other I found (due to this I was able to upgrade the shipping a little to get it sooner and still saved money over any other price I found. Just remember to CUT OFF THE JUICE BEFORE YOU START this repair and it will be done in 5 mins or less.
