The dryer tub started screeching and then dropped.
Removed the top of the dryer above the dryer door by pulling the pop out plastic holds. I then removed the dryer plug in at the top inside dryer that controls the start when dryer door is closed. I thenremoved the screws that are located at the back of the dryer tub where the bearing is located. I then replaced the support bearing. I just replaced every thing I took off in reverse.

Bearing Was Very Noisy
Excellent!!! The parts fit perfectly, but most of all was the video that went through the repair step-by-step.

A local repairman quoted $198 for parts and another $150 for labor. Got the parts here for less that $26!!!!

The only issue (very minor) was the video called for a phillips head screwdriver to remove the front panel, and our dryer needed a squarehead driver. (If I was younger, I would have been able to see the problem).

But, I highly recommend Partselect!!!!

Lint screen was torn and badly bent and I could not find one locally.
Simply removed the two screws that hold the frame in place, removed the damaged parts, wiped down the surface area where the new one would mount and installed the new frame and screen in the reverse order from removal. SIMPLE and fit perfectly.

loud squeealing noise from dryer during operation
The part arrived just in the nick of time as my wife and daughter had strung up rope all over the family room to dry clothes. My son helped me lower the dryer to floor level ( this is a stackable washer/dryer set) Removed the top and front of cabinet. Removed the belt and popped out the drum. Took this opportunity to clean the amazing amount of lint from the blower housing and discharge hose ( it is my opinion that the accumulation of lint and the subsequent rise in operating temperature is the main cause of this bearing failure) Removed and replaced the rear bearing and greased it. Reassembled the drum, installed the belt and reassembled the cabinet. the only tools used were a screwdriver and a nut driver....and of course a vacuum cleaner. The rebuild kit is very complete and is the only way to go. Thanks for your fast delivery time, one more clothes line in the family room and I wouldn't be able to watch T.V.
