my wife decided to clean the oven and while holding up element broke the end off. leaving the wire hidden inside.
Assuming you dont have the same problem as I this will be a very simple repair.Unscrew 2 phillips screws holding the element in place, then gently remove connector wire from each side .careful as it may be brittle and detach itself. Leaving the power wire inside and unreachable from the front of oven. once you have old elemement out slide connectors onto yynew element replace screws and your done

Replacing a faulty bake element.
1. First make sure power is disconnected from appliance. Either by unplugging unit from the receptacle or by turning off the breaker supplying power. 2. Next remove the shelves from oven, to give yourself enough room to work. 3. Next remove the two Phillips screws holding the two brackets, where the bake element goes into the back wall of the oven. 4. Carefully pull the bake element out from the wall of the oven. Just enough to expose the two wire terminals. 5. Using the pliers carefully wiggle the wire clips off of the spade terminals on the bake element. 6. Remove the old bake element. 7. Connect the new bake element to wires. Make sure that terminals have solid connections before inserting the element into the back wall of the oven. 8. Reinstall the bracket retaining screws. 9. Turn power back on and check that oven and the new element is functioning. 10. Let oven heat for about 15 minutes before placing any food in the oven, as there will be a slight odor from the new element. It will diminish quickly. 11. You're done.

Maytag Electric range oven bake element burned out.
Before starting, shut off power to the range with the circuit breaker or fuse, or unplug the service cord. The bake element is the lower element. Remove the wire oven shelves for easy access. Using a Philips#2 screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the old element to the rear of the oven. Gently pull the element straight out until you can see the connecting wires come through the holes. These wires are connected to the element with spade clips. Remove the clips by pulling them straight off the old element taking care that they do not fall back into the holes. Put the new element in place, connect the wires to the terminals, and slide the assembly into the holes. Replace the two screws, restore the power and you are done.

I wanted to purchase new drip pans, since those that I have are a bit grimy
I will begin by saying that not only will I continue to order my parts from PartsSelect, but I also highly recommend this business. If you call Whirlpool be careful that they forward your call for parts to some preferred vendor, which a customer might assume is Whirlpool but it is not. PartsSelect is the same type of business, but with outstanding customer service. With regard to the drip pan, Whirlpool had not updated the part number for these as I found out when i called them. Whirlpool no longer uses the drip pans without the holes which is a serious problem since this could be hazardous to the owners of these ranges if you are forced to purchase the drip pans with the holes in them. That said, I ended up keeping my old drip pans, because if you spill grease under the new ones with the holes in them and since the range design with the fan built in on the top does not allow you to lift the top to clean under the pans, you could end up with a grease fire. This is not the fault of PartsSelect and they handled my order in a manner that I would give them a rating of exceptional for customer service.

As easy as it could be
I have worked in maintenance field most of my adult life and all aspects and to change the oven door gasket was no challenge what so ever. It took longer to find my needle nose pliers to remove the old gasket clips and then re-install the new gasket. Maybe 10 minutes total
