1106518710 Kenmore Dryer - Instructions

After removing front door panel (2 screws) I removed the old latch catch and replace with the new part. 4 minutes later, the door was back together, the dryer was running and the door was staying closed.

Just slipped it on, it was very simple. My dry cylces were reduced. Worth the $15 I spent to get the part!!!!

The only thing I had to do was hammer the catch inside the square fitting and presto it was done. It took me less than 3 mins. I thought I might of needed instructions, but it was really simple. Even a guy can do it. (smile)

Pop out the old latch and replaced with a new one

My husband is the one who fixed the door. He said he just popped it into place and was done in just a couple of seconds! The best part though was the quick service we received. . . I ordered the part around 10:30 in the morning, and it was at my front door by 5pm the next day!!! What great service!!!! We will definitely do business again with partselect. I ordered the door catch kit on a Wednesday at it arrived Saturday AM. It took less than 1 minute to pry out the old catch with a flat screwdriver and pop in the new one!

Popped the latch out and popped a new one in.

The real story here is that there was an ANSWER and a SOLUTION, to what was a GREAT
annoyance. If I wouldn't have found a part, I may have run off and bought a new dryer, when I really didn't need to, or paid A LOT of money for a repair man to come out. THANK YOU for your service. You made my life easier.

All I had to do was get the model number off of the dryer and plug that information in online and within a couple of days the part arrived. It was great! There were directions that came with the part that explained how to replace the old latch with the new one.

I remember in the "olden days" when I would of had to call a repair guy out and paid a lot more than the $12.00 I did to replace the part myself. And, the only reason it was $12.00 dollars instead of $5-6 was because I had it shipped overnight.

First removed 2 screws on lint remover vent. Used a screw driver to force up top of dryer from out front. These will require pressure to pop the top off the dryer. Once the top was up I could reach the actuator and remove the 2 screws holding it. Once removed just replaced with new actuator and bam, done. Snapped top of dryer back on and reinstalled 2 screws on lint vent and Done. Easy, no problem....Thank you PartSelect!!.

We got the part so fast we were both surprised. My husband installed the part by just seeing how the old one came off. It was simple and fairly quick. Except that his hands are so big they had a hard time fitting in to where the part needed to go. Just opened the top of the dryer, took the old part out and put the new one in.

Followed previous comments and took 5 minutes to replace. Be careful to hold spring and switch together because easy to separate and drop. Two screws to remove for switch, two to remove for lint trap, pop the lid up and switch / spring is easy to access.

The door catch kit is soo easy. They give you instructions on which one to use depending on your dryer and it fit perfectly into the door. This was great especially since it was so inexpensive! My husband thought we would have to replace the door.

Simply installed the piece and I was done. Took 10 seconds.

Popped out the old door catch kit and replaced it with the new one! Easy!!
