Ice maker didn't work
I looked up the model# of my kenmore for repairs and partselect.com came up. I searched for the icemaker, wondering if I was even going to be able to figure it out. I was pleasantly surprise that when I found the part there was also a video on how to do the repair. I watched the video, ordered the part and when it came, the repair was a piece of cake.

ice maker kept filling tray, dld not empty
replaced the element as described. it worked for 2 cycles and flooded the capture tray. I thought it may be an issue with the water supply line so I replace it and insured it was getting a good feed.
I have now shut the unit down and restating it . thank you for your concern. Any tips would be appreciated.

added lowering clips to brackets, plugged it in,

Icemaker not working properly
The icemaker was an exact duplicate of the one in my refrigerator. I installed the correct shutoff bar on the icemaker and removed the tab for the water fill spout. After pulling the power cord I loosened the two top screws with a nutdriver and removed the bottom screw. I pulled the icemaker from the rear wall, away from the fill spout, and disconnected the wire harness. Installation was just the reverse of the removal.

After replacing my water dispenser valve the ice maker didn't immediately begin making ice, so I thought I needed a new ice maker
After an overnight from the installation of the new water dispenser valve, my ice maker began making ice again. I had thought that I had made a wrong diagnosis and needed a new ice maker, so I ordered one. By the time my new ice maker arrived, I already had a bin half full of new ice cubes,
