Very easy.Did not have to empty fridge because table fan kept coils cool. Ordering part was easy and shipping fast.Great job guys!!

At their site was ordering each piece by # and cost and it was adding up to be costly. Went to partselect and was doing the same and up pops the ice door kit. Was a little wary because my original had a heater tape to it. Got the kit and installed not a problem at all. 100% satisfied would recommend to anyone.

The standalone icemaker: It wasn't making very much ice and made a grinding noise. I watched the water intake hose and saw that the stream water was weak and didn't fill the reservoir like it should before it cycled off. I replaced the water pump (at the front of the unit). Turn water off to the unit. Turn the unit off. Disconnect t ... Read more he 2 hoses-one plastic and one copper. un-screw the pump from the wall of the ice maker. Disconnect the electric connector. Hook the electric connector back to the new pump unit. screw the bottom plastic hose back on. Attach the unit to the wall with the 2 screws. Then attach the copper hose. Turn water back on. Check for leaks. Turn the unit back on. Using a flashlight make sure the reservoir in the back is filled until the water flows into the overflow drain. Make sure that there is a good strong stream of water from the intake hose into the reservoir. You should be good to go. If you have a lot of lime in your water (we do) then you will have to replace this pump every year to 18 months or so. It seems to get clogged up with lime and just doesn't pump enough water to fill up the reservoir in the time allotted for its cycle.

It was pretty easy to install. The most difficult part was trying to get my hands into the small area to work. I had to use both hands, one to push the release in and the other to pull the tube out. Once I did that, inserting the tube was easy and everything worked perfectly.

First I removed the icemaker from the freezer by removing two horizontal screws holding it to the side wall, and one vertical screw holding the front to a bracket coming off the side wall. Read more been changed just as easily without removing the icemaker.) On the front, there is a white cover with Ice Maker Plus. Use a flat screwdriver to unlock the tangs and remove the cover. There are three screws in the corners that once removed, will allow the motor assy. to be gently pulled straight out. On the back of the part, you will see many gold lands that the timer touches. I don't think there was anything wrong with my motor. I had two spots where the gold plating was worn off, so I suspect it was not making contact, and the whole process would stop. Slide the new part in place making sure the teeth on the gears line up (not a big deal), and secure with the screws. Install cover and you're done. Mine has been making ice like it was brand new.

First off, if you have the stainless steel panel inserts on your refrigerator you'll need to remove those to do this repair. I kept looking for the access holes on the underside of the dispenser panel that you're supposed to insert a screwdriver into to pry it off. I also removed the upper stainless panel and rail just above the dispenser to allow enough movement get the dispenser cover off and out. The rest of the repair is pretty straightforward. The old ice door was beaten up and not closing completely, this was letting warm air into the freezer which was melting and re-freezing. This kit fixed the problem.

To get the coupler off the motor shaft I took two adjustable wrenches and slit the old coupler where it was cracked.The threads on the motor shaft were stripped closest to the motor.I took two thin washers and put them on the motor shaft so the new coupler would not turn down to where the threads on the motor were sripped.Since the thread ... Read more s on the coupler are left hand they keep the coupler tight as the motor turns the dispenser auger to dispense the ice.I was a bit difficult to unplug the wiring harness but got it after we used a screwdriver to keep the tab bent down until the harness was unplugged.

Looked at repair diagram, ordered part [ fast shipping ],first empty freezer pulled everything out removed rear panel, removed motor, installed new motor into housing. Initially I removed the cover to the auger and auger drum. Then the split ring locking washer had to be removed. I used a needle-nosed pliers and small screw-driver to pry that off. The auger arm could then be removed, and the auger blades removed. This proved to be the part that required the most patience. The blades need to removed and ... Read more returned in their exact pattern. Someone else suggested taking a digital picture of them before removing them; this is a good suggestion that I failed to do. Once the blades are returned, all the other parts can be replaced in reverse order. Put the screws back in, and you are finished.

The most difficult part of this order was identifying the part. The manual and picture for this model icemaker called the part a Ice level Sensor. No such item could be identified at Parts Select or at Kitchen Aid. After looking at item after item on the parts diagram it was determined the new name was a bin Thermostat not to be confu ... Replacement was quick and easy and took 5-10 minutes. Working fine now.

I just removed a few screews and took the cover out of the ice box. Put my voltage meter to the refrigeator and realized the the unit was not defrosting...I then got the part number and entered it in on your web site. A few days later my part arrived. Removed plastic door over ice maker remove 4 screws and slide unit out after disconecting pull apart elect. Plug. Pop off side gear cover install on new and slide in, reconnecting electric plug as you go.

screws holding the front ice container cover. Remove the control arm screw and bracket from the bottom of the ice container, remove crusher housing (screws and retainer clip). Remove nylon
bearing nut on front of auger shaft (left ha ... Read more nded threads). Remove crusher blades and spacers (remember order of blades and spacers). Remove broken floating baffle. Replace baffle and reverse removal procedures.

The hardest part was getting the front cover plate off. I used two kitchen knifes one in each slot on the bottom of the plate and pried it off and unplug it. I removed one screw to release arm.
