Dishwasher leaking; got AE error almost every other wash

The inside gasket deteriorates over time - However replacement is easy. the main thing you have to remember is after you remove the old gasket, install the new one starting at the middle top of the tub and work your way down both sides. LE error

Was getting an LE error - locked rotor. From the inside I took the bottom screens apart and discovered carnage - blade worn out, screen worn thru and stuck in the blade. AHA - easy fix, I thought. Ordered the parts, put them in - easy enough. STILL LE error.
Digging deeper found the main board was fried. Replaced that. STILL error.
Ended up replacing the whole sump assembly which includes all the parts I bought originally.

Moral: Pull the dishwasher out and check your sump motor before buying parts. Mine was obviously damaged as the sump had leaked and the motor was heavily corroded. Read more...
