Simplicity Snow Blower Engine Oil Seal

The Oil Seal is a manufacturer-approved rubber part which provides a seal between the crankcase and crankshaft by attaching around the axle shaft on the crankhouse housing. Installation is rated as "Medium" difficulty and requires a screw driver, wrench set and seal puller. A broken seal will cause a leak, and the part must be replaced. Refer to your make, model and diagram to ensure you're choosing the right part. This part comes in black and gray.

This is a genuine replacement part manufactured for small engines. This special gasket lies between the muffler and cylinder head, it is recommended to replace the gasket whenever installing the muffler to ensure a good seal. The gasket is sold individually, and is included in the gasket kit which is available separately.

Needed to replace muffler
Using a socket wrench with extension and a T20 star socket (you can use the appropriate hex head socket also) i removed to two bolts holding the muffler on. They are right on top of the engine and very accessible. Your model may have a heat shield that needs to be removed. Once the muffler is off remove the old gasket. It may be stuck to the muffler or exhaust opening on the engine. It should just pry of with a little effort. I did make sure there were no gasket pieces left behind. I placed the bolts through the flange of the new muffler and then slid the new gasket over the bolts. You can use a exhaust gasket sealant just hold it place while you place the flange in place and not have to worry about gasket dropping off. I just held it until I got the flange in place. I started the bolts by hand using the socket and extension. I alternated from each bolt until I had tighted it down. You can look up torque specs. I just used my grunt meter. It is good as new. Parts were OEM replacement. Not knock off almost right parts. I got very lucky when I found this company and will use them again.

Simplicity Snow Blower Breather Gasket

This OEM valve cover gasket, also known as the breather gasket, creates a seal between the breather body and cylinder block in your lawn equipment. Made of flexible plastic, it measures 2 inches by 4 inches. Oil stains or leaks around the valve cover indicate a problem with the gasket. You may also notice a burning smell or ticking noise from the engine. If the gasket is not replaced, it can lead to severe engine damage and even engine failure. When replacing the gasket, start by turning off your machine and disconnecting the spark plug. Depending on your equipment model and make, you may need to remove components like the air filter or spark plug wires to access the valve cover. Refer to your user manual for guidance.
