Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This oven door gasket creates a secure seal around the door to keep heat inside the oven for consistent cooking and energy efficiency. Made from high-quality, heat-resistant fiberglass with a tempered wire insert, it offers superior durability compared to standard seals. The gasket measures approximately 80 to 84 inches in length and includes 16 mounting clips for easy installation—simply remove the old seal and press the new one into place. Replacing a worn gasket helps prevent heat loss, uneven cooking, and extended preheating times.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

My oven door seal was worn and did not seat properly. It leaked heat. The infinite burner was not warming in the low heat positions
I followed two very good videos on how to do the repairs. It took longer to clean all the disassembled parts and the glass than it did to actually do the repair. A word of caution: Be sure to lock the door hinges in the open position before you lift out the door. They must be locked open to put the door back on. It's difficult to loc

The infinite burner switch was pretty easy to replace but watch out for sheet metal cuts when you are removing the back of the stove. I recommend gloves. My stove has a 12 inch infinite burner, but the parts list only mentions a 10 inch burner. Before I ordered it, I had to call the company to verify that it could be used for the 12 inch burner as well.

I replaced the heat sensor and the oven still took 35 minutes to reach 350. I noticed that the range oven door seal is worm and torn at the bottom of the door. Can this cause the oven to loose heat and take so long to get to 350
For model number 79094462702
Hello Bob, Thank you for the question. Yes, if the seal is damaged or wore out it can cause the temperatures to be off since the hot air is not sealed. I suggest having it replaced to fix the issue. Hope this helps!

Does installation requires the disassembly of the door or just pushing the ends of the gasket into the holes for the gasket?
For model number 97095164409

DOES THE DOOR HAVE TO BE TAKEN APART TO REPLACE PART #316405000. THANK YOU
For model number CFEF3014TWA
Hello Robert, thank you for your inquiry. No, it does not require taking the door apart. The old gasket can be unclipped from the holes in the oven frame. Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the clips out of the frame if they are stuck. After removing, align the clips on the new seal with the holes on the oven frame. Starting at one end, simply snap each clip into its corresponding hole. We hope this information is useful!
