no water at dispencer
replaced water in-let valve easy to do. Shut off water, un-plug fridge, remove back panel, remove water in-let valve, install new valve. plug in fridge, turn on water. check for leaks. replace back panel. works great !

the side rails on the fruit draws broke and i had the water inlet vale bust on the ice maker.
i just removed the philip screws on the old ones and instaled the new rails.the water valve was easy with the water lines had a quick disconect on them,then used pliers to remove the rest of it.the repairs are very easy.

The water dispenser is not working, but the ice machine works and it dispenses ice, just no water. Everything else works with the fridge. Thoughts?

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the question. The water valve has two side, one for the dispenser and one for the ice maker. It is common that only one side will become defective. Sounds like you need to replace the water inlet valve if the dispenser is not getting water.

Hello, i have a GE gss25jerfww refrigerator and it's leaking just past this part (ps966952) when i use get water from of the door dispenser. I was wondering what size water line does this part accommodate. I've identified cracks in the line, but i don't know what size it is. I plan on using a union connector to remove/replace the cracked section, but i don't know what size the water line is. Should i get 1/4" or 5/16" water line to hook up to this inlet valve? Hello Bob, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the limit switch in the dispenser area which is Part #: PS8259956. The dispenser switch is what tells your refrigerator that it is ok to dispense ice or water. If your refrigerator is not dispensing ice or water, you may have a faulty or damaged switch. Hello Mark, thank you for your question. If you can't remember replacing your water filter, it's probably time to change it. These filters can get clogged over time causing the water flow to be disrupted and thus, preventing the water dispenser from functioning properly. Find the water dispenser line and unscrew the screws holding it in place. Then hold the water button at the front of your fridge down to see if any water comes through. If it does, it's likely there was an air clog in the line which should now be removed. We hope this helps.

I have a GE. Frig that will not dispense water from the front door. I have now replaced the micro switch inside and also the water solenoid valve in the back. I get ice from the front panel but no water. Can you tell me what i should try now because i'm out of ideas! Thanks, bill j.

I bought your water valve for the back of the frig and instaled it. I now know i am getting water to the union connector in the front of the frig. So, i think i have a frozen water line going up the side of the frig. And into the water dispenser area. I put a hair dryer on the line and i do not get any warm air coming out where the water should be. So. What is the best way to thaw this line and reservoir area out so the line is clesr?

Hello William, thank you for inquiring. Besides the hairdryer, you could soak the frozen water line with hot water. You could also apply hot water to it with a turkey baster. You may also want to check the Union Connector, part PS758446 on your model. We hope you find this helpful.
