The service guy said the magnetron went out. His diagnosis was made from my description of the event, heating, not heating preceded by a zzzzzzt sound. He checked inline fuses and said they were good. My question is, did the guy trick me? He offered to carry the old one away when he installed the new one. I installed the new one and have the old one here. What's the real/probable story here?
For model number JVM2070CH001
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. Based on the situation you described an the noise you were hearing, yes the magnetron would be the correct part to change. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
