Sourced directly from the manufacturer, this part is used to open and release hot water if the water exceeds the maximum operating temperature. It has metal and plastic components, is not part of a kit or assembly, and is sold individually.
When malfunctioning, the Thermo Relief Valve will open on a regular basis, which can cause damage to your pump. If it is opening often or on a regular basis, replace it to protect your pump from damage. You will need a socket set, a wrench set, and pliers to complete this repair.

Motor runs fine but when I squeeze the trigger it stops. Think bad unloader valve and do you have one?
For model number 020337 Troy-bilt washer
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your question. If the motor on the compressor runs, but then stops after you pull the trigger, you likely have a malfunctioning unloader valve, but you should also check the piston, the o-rings and the trigger. If the unloader valve is not set correctly and the trigger is not working correctly when you press it, the pressure washer will shut down. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!

Craftsman 2200 Pressure Washer, if the engine cranks up and water passes thru, but there is no high pressure to the water stream, what typically needs to be replaced?
For model number 580752340
Hello Jeff, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number you have provided and we would recommend checking the thermal relief valve, the water outlet kit, the o-rings, and the check valves. Good luck with your repair.
