Is part number PS8764724 the brains of the stove? This stove beeps with no error code and just blanks out at times. Tried shutting off power for 30 minutes but is still will mess up about every other day.

Hello Timothy, Thank you for your inquiry. This is the main control board for the model. The beeping can also be caused by a touchpad error, so we would also recommend checking the ribbon cable from the membrane switch to the control board for any visible damage and to make sure it's connected security. Try cleaning the ribbon cable with an eraser or with alcohol and a q-tip. You can also check the continuity with a multimeter. Good luck with your repair.
The control panel functions are not functioning when pressed, it started with a couple of the numbers and not the start button doesnt work. before I replace the oven I really want to find a way to get this to work. the stove top works great- but bc the majority of the buttons including start button dont work I cant use the oven. what should I do?

Does this part replace the digital display? You can't read the display because some of the lines don't work.

is the control panel difficult to install?

Hello Salvatore, Thank you for writing. The difficulty would depend on your level of knowledge of repairing the appliance but most customers have done the repair on their own. Had no issues with the stove at all ever then one day I looked over and the digital display was not working. Tried the unplug and plug it back in and nothing happened checked the outlet that was fine. So this is the last resort. Would replacing the control board fix the issue?
