It appears that the dishwasher is not filling completely, or as much water as needed. Pump runs out of water before reaching correct pumping pressure. If i add about a quart of water it works correctly. Could the float switch be sensing too soon? Any ideas?
For model number SHE55M16UC/64
Hi Lawrence,
Thank you for your question. If the dishwasher is not filling with water, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the valve access, the water inlet valve and the float switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Overnight my Bosch dishwasher overfilled and spilled out to floor. When I turned dishwasher on the pump drained the water. When I try differant wash cycles the timer shows up but it does let any water in. Left idle water keeps coming in slowly.
For model number SHE98M05UC/52
Hi Robert, thank you for contacting us. The issue seems to be with the float switch, part number PS8697040. Its function is to shut off the water supply when the correct water level is reached and prevent the dishwasher from overflowing or failing to initiate cycles because of improper water levels. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Water wouldn’t go into the dishwasher. I disconnected the hose from the water supply, ran the water and it was full of rust. Is there a filter on the dishwasher that may need replacing?
For model number SGS3022/12
Hello Harold, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, you may need to check the filter of the water inlet valve to solve the problem. The filter does not come separately. It comes with the sealing, part number PS8697172. Glad to be of help!
