Handle was broken
Replaced with new handle. The order promised Instructions, but the link did not deliver, so I located a PartSelect instruction for replacing the latch and discovered that I could remove the rubber lining behind the door. Doing so allowed me to reach the screw for the bottom of the handle. With a helper, I was able to reach behind the door frame and start the screw into the handle, then tighten the screw. The top screw was not hidden and was simple to replace.
