The existing part came off the microwave one day when I opened the door. I considered replacing the entire unit (since they're not that expensive but save a couple hundred bucks by just getting the part. How hard could it be? The inner part was still intact and so was the glass. The price was very low (under $30) and this was a simple replacement since the problem with the old door was the plastic anchors that held the screws in place. They had become weaker over the year until they just gave out. So I took the inner part of the door off the hinges. Then I took out the screws from the old unit and transferred the intact glass from one unit to the other and put the whole thing back together with the new part. It's really not complicated. While the inner door comes off the hinges on the left easily, the assembled unit requires you to take off the top piece that is held by three screws. (It's not the entire top, just the "overhang".) The door won't go back in unless you do that. The door itself was in near perfect condition. There were a few very light scratches on it but you had to look hard to see them. Otherwise it looks brand new

The product I received was certainly used, it has some left over 3m rape on it. There are minor imperfections in the carbon fiber. But overall looks acceptable.
