Hi Andrew. This is likely a bad heating element. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
The dishwasher finishes the inital wash cycle and drains the water, but after draining the dishwasher continues to attempt to drain the water. The Heavy button light just flashes. If I press the power button the dishwasher will turn off for just a moment then come back on and continue to attempt to drain water (it's already empty at this point). It cannot be turned off unless it's unplugged. if I shut it off at the breaker it comes right back on after turning the breaker back to on, even if I wait a considerable period of time.

Hello Scott, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the main control board, part number PS11720391, to fix the issue. It manages the functions of the dishwasher, such as washing, draining, and drying. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
