Solves detergent door latch failure
This is just what the machine from 1999 needed to keep going. There are no instructions on how to install it, but if you very carefully take note of how your remove the old parts, anybody--even a music teacher--can do it.

washer detergent door will not open during cycle. what part will I need to correct this.
For model number 65517765890
Hello Shannon, thank you for contacting us. The part that will most probably fix your issue is the dispenser actuator assembly, part number PS392727. It opens the dispenser cover to release detergent and rinse aid during the dishwashing cycle. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

My detergent dispenser opens fine when I turn the cycle selector knob manually, but will not open when the cycle actually runs. I have disassembled the door clip and actuator assembly, cleaned them thoroughly, and replaced them, and nothing seems broken, but it will not dispense when actually running a cycle. Ran it empty to confirm. Dishwasher pods do not get wet or sticky, and fall out easily when I manually release them. Is this an actuator problem, or something to do with the electronics?
For model number DU811SWPU4
Hi Eloise, thank you for reaching out. We would recommend checking the actuator, part number PS392727. The actuator fails to heat up and expand when signaled electrically by the timer, meaning it never physically pushes the release lever during a cycle. Since it cannot move on its own, the door remains shut unless you bypass the electrical trigger by manually turning the control knob. You may need to replace the actuator to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
