How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

heater died - TE error
The heater assembly has the thermistor in it. Removed and replaced. The original had a coiled heater. The one from partselect was a single loop. Seems to work fine.

Works Perfectly for LG Model WM2101HW
The part was perfect replacement for the heating element that lasted only 5 years. The instructional video was also very helpful on how to replace. Just remember to tighten that nut down to expand the gasket after install otherwise you'll have Noah's flood when you start your next load.

How do you remove a heater assembly , part # aeg3312151leaking around this) to replace? Do not see tutitorial, please help. Water leaking out bottom, this aera very wet , rusted.
For model number WM642HW
Hi Kelly,
Disconnect the power from your appliance and remove your top panel by removing the two lower screws on the brackets at the back of your machine.
Lift the top of your washer off of the appliance and remove your detergent drawer. Then unscrew the two mounting screws from the inner part of your drawer.
Remove the screw on the back of your control panel (right side). Pull the plastic of the control panel up and toward you to un-clip it from the machine. Then place the control panel out of the way.
Open the pump filter cover at the bottom left hand corner of your appliance. Unclip the drain hose from the appliance and unscrew the screw from the housing. Pull the plastic housing around your drain pump filter out. Unscrew another screw that holds in the outside metal body.
Open the door and remove the clamp keeping the bellow attached to the appliance. Push the bellow inside your appliance. Reach in to the right hand side where your door strike pushes in. You will have to disconnect the wire harness from your door lock latch. Once you have done that, close the door again.
Remove the five screws at the top of the front panel. After that you should be able to lift the front panel off the hinges at the bottom. Place that to the side and now you have access to the inside of your machine.
Place a towel and a plastic container on the floor underneath the drain hose. Pull out the plug and let any excess water drain out. Once that is done plug the hose again.
Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove the nut and ground wire of the heater assembly, which is behind the drain pump attached to the bottom portion of the outer drum. Disconnect the wires from both terminals.
Using your socket wrench, unscrew the last nut holding your heater assembly in place. You will then be able to pull it out. When installing your new part make sure that it rests on the support bracket inside of the tub.
Good luck!

Will changing this part will fix the tE code on my washing machine?
For model number Wm2233hs
Hello Oscar,
Thanks for your question. The tE error code involves a Temperature sensing thermistor error, and you would need part number PS3528953 for the thermistor.
I hope this helps.
I have been getting the te error code about every 20 washes. After looking at various youtube videos, the consensus seems to point to the thermistor. I took apart my washer, and unlike every video i saw, there is no separate thermistor on mine. The pn on the heater element is aeg33121501. Is the thermistor built into this part?
For model number WM2301HW
Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question. The issue is a control control problem and based on the information in your manual, it is likely a control issue. You will need to have a technician come out and check the appliance. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will the heater assembly fix a problem when using the dryer it cycles though the spin cycle and once it goes to the drying cycle it gets PF code and stops
Everything else works fine
No dryer keeps getting the PF code
For model number Wm3997hwa
Hello Craig, Thank you for your inquiry. The PF error code indicates that there has been a power failure to the dryer at that point. You can test the heating element with a multimeter to see if it is working properly. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. The other parts we recommend checking are the safety thermostat, and the wiring harness. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
My washer gave us a TE error code so we unplugged it for a few days and worked for awhile but it started doing it again so we unplugged it and when we plug it back in we try to just do a quick rinse and spin cycle with nothing in there and we keep getting the same TE error code so I'm thinking it is the temp sensor built in the heating element or could it be something else
For model number Wm3875hwca
Hello Allen, thank you for your question. This is usually caused by a faulty wire at the plug which connects to the Thermistor on the heating element PS3532212. The wash tub Thermistor should read 39.5 K ohms at 86. We hope this helps.
