I made it work
The part came in a timely manner. HOWEVER, after opening the package it was noticed that a pressure “clip” on top edge of the bleach reservoir was bent upward. As I installed the piece and pulled it into place the pressure “clip” snapped off. As of today it’s pretty much staying in place but have to keep an eye on it each use. I did submit something to customer service about the breakage but my email went unanswered .

How does this part switch out the original on my washer
For model number WT4870CW
Hi Darrell,
Thank you for your question. To install the part, you will need to use a putty knife to depress the spring clips holding the main top down. This will allow you to raise it and allow you to have access to the bottom of the main top where the bleach dispenser is attached. Unclip the old dispenser so you may remove it and the hose. Once the part has been removed, you can then clip in the new dispenser and hose. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will the Bleach Dispenser cause intermittent leaks?
For model number WT4870CW
Hi Wayne, thank you for contacting us. The bleach dispenser itself is unlikely to cause intermittent leaks unless it is damaged, improperly installed, or clogged. Leaks may also result from issues with the water inlet valve. Inspect the water inlet valve and if it is faulty replace it, the part number is PS12374721. We hope this information is useful!
THE WATER LINE THAT COMES INTO THE BLEACH DESPENSOR IS FILLING UP THEN AS IT DISPENSES IT RUNS OVER THE EDGE OF THE DRUM AND LEAKS OUTSIDE OF THE DRUM. THAT LIP ISN'T TALL ENOUGH TO TAKE THAT AMOUNT OF LIQUID AND ALL OF IT MAKE IT IN THE DRUM. DO YOU GUYS HAVE A FIX FOR IT YET.
For model number WT4870CW
Hello Fred, thank you for contacting us. Based on our understanding of the issue, it seems like the bleach dispenser of your model is damaged or malfunctioning. We would recommend checking the dispenser assembly, part number PS7787209, to solve the problem. Glad to be of assistance!
