Quick removal and installation.
This part was listed as a replacement with a new part number but cost was higher than at another site for the original part, the extra cost was worth it. The construction appears to be used with higher quality parts compared with flimsy parts on the original part. It took less than 20 minutes (The first time ever installed).

Easy repair
The part was easy to install only because I saw the repairman do it about six months ago. I watch him closely and was able to instruct my husband on what he should do. The washer works like normal for a week.
Unfortunately, the pulsator decided to malfunction a week later, sliding off at the end of wash cycle,no fault of the other repair and had to clean drain pump. Now it’s needs a new pulsator plate with cost of approx $70-$80.I am not willing to spend anymore money on repairs. So I’m junking the LG washer and buying something new. The time and money that will be spent on repairs I may as well buy a new one. Thank your service Ed great and part in excellent condition when I received it.

Washer was slowing filling with water when turned off.
The problem was the valve suppling water to the bleach dispenser was not closing completely. This also caused some water leaking towards the front of the washer. Replacing the entire valve assembly was very easy. Unplug the washer, turn off the water, remove the 2 screws that attach the control panel, disconnect the water supp

Washer Hot water valve did not shut off ever
After getting the model info from the back of the washer control panel, I searched Partselect for the water valve part. Easy process, It was here in 2 days. Unplug the machine, I took 2 screws out of the back of the control console and tipped it forward to reveal the valve assy. Turn off the water at the wall and disconnect the hot and co

I removed the 3 screws holding the valve assy to the deck and with pliers disconnected the 2 clamped rubber lines and then with just finger pressure wiggled the valve from the remaining pipe connections. I swapped the 5 wire connectors to the new valve and wiggled it back into place. Clamped the 2 rubber lines again. and then connected the water inlet hoses to the new valve. Closed it up and called the laundry lady ( sorry honey) 30 minutes to Household harmony again!!

Water overflow in washer basin
I diagnosed by running a full wash. I watched it and when the water should have stopped it kept running. I unplugged the washer from the power and the water kept running. This told me the inlet valve was the issue and not an electronic issue. I stopped the water by closing the water valve manually. Replacing the inlet valve was very easy

Water tube in washer only fills with cold water on hot setting.
For model number WT5070CW
Hi Uwe, thank you for your question. Most of the time when you are having that issue, it means that there is a problem with your water inlet valve. I could suggest testing the part with a multi meter to be sure. Each solenoid on the valve should be reading somewhere between 500 - 1500 ohms to be working. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

THE WASHER MAKES A SQUEALING NOISE WHEN WATER IS ENTERING THE MACHINE, WHETHER AT START UP OR DURING RINSE CYCLES. WILL THIS BE CORRECTED BY REPLACING THE INLET VALVE?
For model number LG WT5001C
Hi Richard, thank you for your question. The issue is probably related to the water inlet valve, part number PS12374721. It controls the water flow into the washer. We hope this information helps!

Will this assembly take care of my issue: Regardless of the choice or setting i chose, if the wash selected requires water from the “hot water” inlet i get hot water only and never cold water no matter what setting. No blockage of cold water supply in any way, valve does not let cold to flow into washer.
For model number 79629002000
Hello Jay, thank you for writing. This could be due to a clogged or damaged Cold Inlet Hose, part number PS3635975 for your model. You may also want to consider this Inlet Valve Assembly part number PS12374721 as the cause. Good luck with your repair!

Getting code: IE. can you tell me what part I would need to order and replace? Thanks.
For model number 31552
Hello Kevin, thank you for the great question. An IE error code indicates that the washer was unable to fill with water. During cold and freezing weather conditions, an IE error code could mean the water in the water supply lines is frozen. Once the temperature increases above freezing, the water supply will resume. We recommend reinstalling the drain hose correctly, making sure the hot and cold water taps are open fully, making sure the drain hose is not kinked or damaged, and checking the inlet filter or water inlet valve for any mineral deposits or other debris that may be clogging. If it does not help, you will need to replace the water inlet valve, part number PS12374721, or the pressure switch, part number PS3526607. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
Hello Fred, Thank you for contacting us. It is possible that the solenoid for the hot water portion of the valve is not opening. You can test the water valve with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Below is a link to our how-to video for using a multimeter. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful day and good luck with your repair!

I replaced the main control board on my LG top load washer and the cold water is still not flowing in, only extremely hot water.
What iadditional part would be required to replace the water intake valve?
For model number WT1101CW
Hello Anne, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking that the pressure of the main water supply is within the operational limits. If the pressure is fine, then you may need to check the water inlet valve, part number PS12374721. We also recommend checking the wire connection of the water inlet valve. We hope this solves your problem!

I have a slow leak from my washer. It appears to be at the inlet valve on the cold water intake part. I diagnosed by turning cold water off and on. When on, I see a tiny leak under the cylinder. When I look a back of the tub, I see water running down the outside of the tub.
I plan to replace the inlet valve. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
For model number WT5270CW
Hello Lori Anne, Thank you for your inquiry. We would also recommend checking the inlet hoses as well. We hope this helps you.
I want to get two mesh filters that fit into the plastic "Basket" fittings that are inserted into the HOT & COLD water intake connections. Can you provide them or provide contact information to someone who can?
For model number WT7200CW
Hello Jack, Thank you for the question. The Mesh Filters are not sold separate from the Water Inlet Valve. The Valve would need to be replaced. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
