Timer and Igniter out.
Fixed both issues. Go to http://www.do-it-yourself-washing-machine-and-dryer-repair-help.com/ The videos were all the help and information I needed, no log-in is necessary, and it was super helpful to me, found everything I needed. Was hesitant to remove the drum to get to the igniter but the videos show everything and are well done.
Took top off ,4 screws.Took old timer out and just transferred wires to new one, very easy and worked perfect.Would probally get new knob also if ever done again.

Broken Pulley Idler and Timer.

... Read morehe Pulley Idler. I first removed the top, leaving the timer panel connected by wires. I then removed the belt from the drum. That step was easy since the Pulley Idler was broke. I simply slid off the drum with ease. Once the belt was off I disassembled the front panel of the dryer. With the front panel off, I used a 3ft clamp to hold the drum in place while I unscrewed the three drum screws inside. I then pulled the drum out and set to the side. The tension pulley was simple to remove and reinstall. I reversed the steps above until the I got to the installation of the timer panel. With the new timer I put them side by side. I pulled one wire at a time and replaced to the new timer. Once all wires have been transferred, I then pulled the knob off the front. I used a small and medium flat head screwdriver, the small one to pry up the keeper flap and the medium to hold it. I was able to turn the timer and release it with ease. I then inserted the new timer and replaced the knob. I finished reinstalling the dryer and tested. Works great! This all took approximately an hour.

Timer would not regulate dryer time
I was able to take off the front top panel (4 star screws) folded top panel towards me. Marked all the wires to make it easier to remember where they go on new timer. (could have just removed and replaced on new timer as wires were long enough. Pushed old timer down onto panel with screw driver to loosen (this was hardest part) once I was
... Read more able to loosen and remove the new timer was easy to replace and tighten. Put wires in place. Folding top panel back into place. Closed and tightened screws. Project done!!! Saved about $200.00... GO ME!!!

clothes not drying
Removed 4 #20 torx screws from top of electric control panel.Marked and labeled wires on timer before removing them. Removed nob from front of panel before removing defective timer. Installed new timer and resister using labels to put wires back on correct terminals.Put control panel back together with the 4#20 torx screws. Tested dryer.

I removed the screws holding the cover for the switches.I twisted the old timer loose.I moved wires one by one to the new timer with pliers.Lastly, I twisted the new timer to the locking position and replaced the cover.Everything now works fine

My dryer will not advance in perm press or gentle dry it will also only heat about half the degree it needs too. It will advance in the times dry portion and heat like normal. I’ve replaced motor on timer. What else could this be timer ? Does this model have a moisture sensor. I can’t find it in the parts diagram ? Thks

When we run the dryer it shuts off during the drying. I took of the timer knob and notice if I pull the plastic part that the knob connects to the dryer will run again and if I push that in it turns off. Any suggestions on what you think it might be?

When we run the dryer it shuts off during the drying. I took of the timer knob and notice if i pull the plastic part that the knob connects to the dryer will run again and if i push that in it turns off. Any suggestions on what you think it might be?

Hello Jon, thank you for inquiring. From what you describe you will likely want to replace the Timer part PS11746606 for your model. You may also want to consider replacing the Timer Knob part PS11752708 and the Knob Spring Clip part PS11743754. We hope this helps.

I have replaced my timer because the drying cycle will not advance and the dryer does not shut off automatically. What else could be the problem?
