This genuine OEM throttle trigger allows you to control the engine speed of your trimmer by squeezing or releasing it, which engages the throttle cable. It is conveniently located on the handle assembly for easy access during operation. If you experience stickiness, looseness, or unresponsiveness, the throttle trigger is faulty and requires replacement. A malfunctioning throttle trigger makes it difficult to control the engine speed, leading to challenges in starting the trimmer, maintaining a consistent speed, or adjusting power as needed. To replace the throttle trigger, you will need a screwdriver with a Torx bit. First, remove the fasteners holding the throttle housing, then separate the two halves of the housing. Disconnect the lever from the throttle cable and remove it, along with the spring, from your trimmer. Please note that the throttle trigger is sold separately from the throttle cable and spring.
