Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This is the replacement bucket auger for your refrigerator. It is approximately 20 inches long and 14 inches wide. The bucket auger sits within the ice maker assembly and rotates to push the ice from the ice container into the dispenser chute. If your ice maker bucket is full, but ice is not being dispensed, it is an indication that the auger is damaged. Be sure to disconnect power from the refrigerator before you repair the auger. This part is sold individually and is an authentic OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

Simple repair
The only part broke was the auger. I felt that it was worth the extra money to just buy the whole assembly to simplify the repair. It worked beautifully.

Quick and easy repair
Part arrived much sooner than inspected and was installed quickly and easily. It was packed well (sort of a fragile part), and everything was great. The website made it easy to track down what I needed.

Dishwasher would not start
I determined that the problem was the door switch. Ordered the exact replacement switch. Disconnected the power, unscrewed the old switch and unplugged the wire harness. Plugged the wire harness on to the new switch and put it back into the washer screwed it in and reconnected the power and was ready to go.

Broken Auger blade on GE ice bucket / auger assembly for GE side by side refrigerator
No tools required, remove from shipping box, wash, remove old ice bucker/ auger assembly, insert new assembly.
NOTE! The product description of the ice bucket size on the PartSelect website is MISLEADING: it is not 20”L x 14”W and the photo grid is wrong. The actual size for this model is approximately 16”L x 12”W x 11.5”H, p

My ice maker?
For model number GSE22ETHCBB
Hi Diane, thank you for reaching out. The ice container assembly for your model is part number PS11701245. We hope this helps.
Noticing SO MANY customers with broken auger blades, same as me, have the replacement augers been re-engineered to be more sturdy ??
For model number GSE25HMHJHES
Hi Don, thank you for your inquiry. The ice maker container and auger assembly, part number PS17626598, is compatible with your model number. This is the only auger assembly listed by the manufacturer as a replacement part. The auger breaks often, if the ice isn't used frequently, it melts slightly and freezes into large, solid chunks that the auger cannot move, jamming the mechanism. Glad to be of help!
