Took off cover, then removed the 8 connector bundles. then removed the the board pulling 3 clips. Replaced board and connected wires. Waiting to see if that fixed it. Replaced freezer fan, Ice maker fan.

I am getting IF E error code frequently. It resolves by unplugging and replugging the fridge but recurs often. With that code display, no waster dispenser function. Replugging, no code and it works. Is this a failing fan motor

Hello Domenic, thank you for getting in touch. The "IF" or "E IF" error code usually means an ice maker fan problem, often caused by ice buildup, a faulty fan motor, or a wiring issue. If there is ice buildup, you will need to turn off the refrigerator, and allow it to melt completely. There could be ice buildup on the ice maker, blocking it or the fan motor. Make sure your refrigerator and freezer doors are sealing completely, as a poor seal can cause frost build-up that interferes with the fan. If this does not help, you will need to replace the fan assembly, part number PS16661343, to fix the issue. We hope this helps.
