The buttons on the control panel sometimes don't respond when pressed and you have to really run your thumb over it from several different directions. To get the desired wash setting. What needs to be replaced?
For model number GE GTW685BSLWS
Hi Virginia,
Thank you for your question. If the buttons on the control panel do not respond when when pressed, you will need to replace either the control panel or the electronic control board. Check to see if the connections on control panel are making contact with the electronic control board. If they are not, you will need to replace the control panel. If they are, you will need to replace the electronic control board. If you would like to place an order for one of these parts, customer service is open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Randal, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you check the UI and control board, part number PS12743633, as it is the most likely cause of this issue. If it is faulty, you may need to replace it. We hope this solves your problem!
