Some type of cord, string, yarn, or the like has been wrapped around the agitator and cannot be accessed to be cleaned out. We cannot figure out how to unassemble the agitator to cut & free up the cords, clean it up and reassemble it, providing there’s no damage to anything. Please help!! Thank you!

Hello Mary, thank you for reaching out. Following are the general instructions to disassemble the washer agitator: First, remove the agitator cap using your hand. Then, locate the small hole present on the lower side of the auger, and align it with a small dot present underneath it, on the auger base. Insert a screwdriver in this small hole, and rotate it clockwise. The auger will come off, and the hub nut will become visible. Remove it using a plier, and use your hand to remove the agitator base. Follow the same procedure, and rotate the auger in the counter-clockwise direction to reassemble it. We hope this helps!

My washer fills all the way up during sensing and then shuts off and drains and on the display it says H2O supply. What does this mean?
For model number GTW685BSL1WS

Hi Lance, thank you for the question. According to our research, the "H20 SUPPLY" on the display means that the board cannot sense water level. To solve this issue, we would recommend checking the control board, part number PS17139249, as it is most likely faulty. We hope this solves your problem!

Hello Les, Thank you for asking. 1. Remove the fabric softener dispenser. 2. Align the raised bump with the opening on the auger. 3. Use the screwdriver to puncture through the inner shaft of the auger and twist it clockwise until the auger releases. 4. Unscrew the bolt on the base of the agitator and lift it up. 5. Install the agitator back by reversing the same procedure. Good luck with the repair!

Would not drain the water from the tub.
Very simple to repair. Be sure to drain the tub outside or into the sump pump then lay the washer on its side. The pump is right there on the bottom of the basket with 3 bolts. You will also need to remove the belt cover to get to the plug. So simple and saves you hundreds off repair man prices.

Washer wouldn't fill, wash, spin
Use putty knife to unlock top panel from base. Remove 2 bolts from back of washer holding control section. Don't take completely off. 2 bolts needs to be removed to unsecure top from base. Lastly 2 screws hold lid in place. Remove lid. Slide top panel to left just to access lid lock. Unplug sensor. 1 screw and tabs hold lock in place. Watch position coming out so you don't get confused putting new lock in. Squeeze tabs, replace screw. plug in sensor. Reverse procedure to put top section back together.
