My dishwasher (less than 2 years old) makes an occasional and inconsistent light moaning sound roughly 5-6 minutes into a run cycle. The noise lasts for a few seconds and then stops. No unusual sounds when filling, arms are spinning freely and no sounds when draining. It cleans dishes well.

Hi Joseph, thank you for your inquiry. The moaning sound is likely caused by a failing pump motor or worn pump bearings in your dishwasher, as this is a common symptom of pump issues. Inspect further by cleaning the filter and sump area first, as debris could be the cause.
