I cannot turn the filter basket to clean the inside. It will not turn & open
also, should there be water in the bottom of the unit where the filter sits
This unit is less than a year old - after washing it was a bad smell.

Hi Kathy, thank you for getting in touch. Follow the given instructions to clean the filter basket: First, twist the filter basket in the counterclockwise direction to unlock it from the ultra-fine filter assembly. See the directional arrows on the bottom of the filter basket. Pull the filter basket to remove from the assembly, throw away any food particles, rinse with warm soapy water, and use a sponge to remove any stubborn particles. Also, if there is water in the bottom of the unit, it might be due to a clogged filter or a clogged drain hose. Make sure the filter and the drain hose are clean. We hope this helps!

Our dishwasher doesn't appear to be getting enough water. After a bit of troubleshooting, we think it's the flood float. We took out the ultra fine filter and realized that there is no float as described in the manual or any videos we've seen online. Your replacement part for this has a coil inside of the ultra fine filter which ours does not have. Do you think replacing the ultra fine filter may be the correct solution for our problem?

Hello Kathy, Thank you for writing. The Coil is just to help catch debris. This would not effect the appliance filling with water. We suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve. This valve allows water to flow into your dishwasher at the proper rate. We hope this helps!
